Trops Magazine – 180 pages of art, culture & history



For three months, I worked with writers and artists to create a large-scale cultural magazine. The project brought together diverse voices and visual stories from around the world.

What I did:

  • Edited and published a 180-page magazine blending culture, art, and history.



  • Learned and used Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign for layout and design.



  • Created digital ad campaigns with Meta Ads and design tools.



  • Organized two launch events promoting the magazine in NYC.

Alongside editing and publishing the magazine, I designed and ran a series of Instagram ad campaigns to boost visibility. These ads combined bold visuals with concise storytelling, tailored to resonate with art and culture enthusiasts. Using A/B testing and Meta Ads Manager, I optimized performance to maximize reach and engagement, driving both event attendance and magazine sales.

Key Metrics of one ad:


  • Link Clicks: 3,590
  • Cost per Link Click (CPC): $0.09 (below the industry benchmark for media/publishing, which often ranges $0.20–$0.50).
  • Views: 33,756
  • Reach: 15,549 unique accounts
  • Post Engagements: 3,660 (likes, comments, shares, clicks combined)
  • Engagement Rate: 23.5% (3,660 engagements ÷ 15,549 reach — significantly higher than the typical IG benchmark of ~5–10%).
